I Remember You With Me
Dan Clanton
There's a windchime out my window
It plays a gypsy melody
The mournful notes ring through the icy streets
And I remember you with me.
The March wind howls around the old school yard
It's blowing off the whitecapped sea,
An old man feeds his dog beside the park
And I remember you with me.
My friends told me I had to clear my head
Needed a change of scenery
Well, I've been travelin' now for most a year
I still remember you with me
I've seen the Cavern down in Liverpool
I've met a girl from Normandy
She says that we should go to Amsterdam
But I remember you with me
My friends told me I had to clear my head
Needed a change of scenery
Well, I've been travelin' now for most a year
I still remember you with me
I thought that I would be a vagabond
Now I'm more a refugee,
Like old Tom Wolfe I can't go home again
But I remember you with me
My friends told me I had to clear my head
Needed a change of scenery
Well, I've been travelin' now for most a year
I still remember you with me.
Well I've been travelin' now for most of a year
I'll always remember you with me
